Dwaalboom

Mr Jaco du Toit initially rented Dwaalboom farm from a farmer in distress in 2016 and planted approximately 400 ha of summer wheat (Dry Land Wheat). After the farm was purchased by Rural Development & Land Reform in late 2016, the caretaker Mr Rudzani Sadiki from Sadiki Enterprizes agreed to once again rent the land to Mr du Toit for 12 months. 

The 2017 planting season consisted of 470 ha of sunflower and 400 ha of summer wheat. Rudzani Sadiki is currently in the final stages of negotiating a 30 year lease period with Rural Development and Land Reform where he will be appointed by the government as the Caretaker.

Mr Sadiki has already indicated that he is willing to extend the rental agreement for the land by an additional 24 months.
